Esille eniten nousee tuo Something's going on sekä Rainbow In The Dark. Myöskin Hotel California sekä Stormbringer säväyttivät mutta muuten biisit jäävät kyllä sinne ihan hyvä-osastolle. 3.5/5 tulee kokonaisarvosanaksi.

Kutenm sanottua, tuo Stormbringer oli tosiaan julkaistu jo 8 vuotta sitten Lonely Are The Braven ltd:llä. Rainbow In The Dark on yksi Dion ikisuosikkeja, mutta jotenkin kuulen tuosta versiosta miksi se jätettiin 2010 Dio-lätyltä pois, voisi olla parempikin :?

Mutta tuo I Know There's Something Going On oli hyvä valinta ensimmäiseksi sinkuksi, levyn parasta antia Killer Queenin kanssa.

JORN To Release 'Life On Death Road' Album In June

Frontiers Music Srl will release JORN's brand new studio album, titled "Life On Death Road", on June 2.

Easily one of the greatest rock singers of the 21st century, Norway's very own giant Viking warrior Jorn Lande's vocals are resoundingly strong once again on his ninth original studio album, "Life On Death Road". This absolutely brilliant new album sees Lande attacking the microphone with rejuvenated vigor, accompanied by a new band and a bigger and stronger sound.

"Life On Death Road" took several months of hard work for the songwriting vision to come together. Jorn needed to take the music to a new level to push the concept of the band further than it has ever gone before. The result is a record that is deep, strong, full of groove and powerful with anthemic songs aplenty. Songs like "Man Of The '80s", "Love Is The Remedy", "Life On Death Road", "Insoluble Maze (Dreams In The Blindness)", and "The Slippery Slope (Hangman's Rope)" capture the essence of Jorn as a singer, songwriter and lyricist.

Jorn says: "It's easily one of the best albums I've ever recorded. This was all about putting the right people together for the right result, and about taking the necessary time to work more thoroughly and in depth with the material we chose for the album.

"The older I get, the more I feel it is necessary to listen to my heart and look for that genuine and honest feeling that made me take interest in music in the first place.

"Back in the '70s and early '80s when I grew up, people and music were more free and so the presence of feeling and soul came more naturally and was expected from an artist or a band. This is the energy and craftmanship we've been looking for, but still keeping a pulse on the modern times we live in.

"'Life On Death Road' is an original album that is pretty much summing up the last 40-50 years of rock and metal and has become a hybrid modern heavy rock album without losing those tasty elements of a good aged wine. Regardless, we're all products of our time, and the feeling, soul and symbioses we've achieved for this album is a rarity in today's music world, so in that sense this album is a true old school sailors' 'tall ship adventure.' From start to finish, it took us nearly three years to finalize and I'm really proud to say that this album is the proof that classic albums can still be made."

The album also marks the debut of a new lineup of very experienced and gifted musicians around the Norwegian singer. On bass is Mat Sinner (PRIMAL FEAR, SINNER, KISKE/SOMERVILLE) who needs virtually no introduction to European heavy metal fanatics. On keyboards and production is Alessandro Del Vecchio (HARDLINE, REVOLUTION SAINTS), who already joined JORN for the recording of his last covers album, "Heavy Rock Radio" and was the glue that helped Jorn to create the feel and the direction for the new album. Francesco Iovino (PRIMAL FEAR) is on drums and Alex Beyrodt (PRIMAL FEAR, VOODOO CIRCLE) handles guitar. Truly a recipe for a roaring success!

Jorn had no desire to do "just another" JORN record. The aim was to do the best record possible and it took almost two years of writing, arranging, and producing before wrapping this all up. The performances are thunderous across the board and you can hear the urgency of these songs in Jorn's singing!

Jorn's catalogue is getting too long to include in brief overviews and his innovative and creative skills as a vocalist and music visionary have led to him selling millions of albums worldwide while being a frequent entrant on sales charts around the world, including Billboard. Worth a mention here though are his years fronting MASTERPLAN, whom he recorded three albums with. He has also recently collaborated with the world's biggest online gaming company, Riot Games, providing vocals for the virtual band "PENTAKILL" in the game "League Of Legends". Claimed to be the biggest-selling Norwegian musical export since the pop band A-HA, Jorn continues his rock crusade and there are no signs of him slowing down and "Life On Death Road" is a magnificent testament to his abilities!

"Life on Death Road" track listing:

01. Life On Death Road
02. Hammered To The Cross (The Business)
03. Love Is The Remedy
04. Dreamwalker
05. Fire To The Sun
06. Insoluble Maze (Dreams In The Blindness)
07. I Walked Away
08. The Slippery Slope (Hangman's Rope)
09. Devil You Can Drive
10. The Optimist
11. Man Of The '80s
12. Blackbirds

JORN is:

Jorn Lande - Vocals
Alex Beyrodt - Guitars
Mat Sinner - Bass
Alessandro Del Vecchio - Keyboards
Francesco Iovino - Drums

Ja aika paljon samoja fiiliksiä on tällä Life on Death Roadilla mitä Heavy Rock Radiolla, eikä pelkästään Man of the 80's sinkun takia - kokonaisuutena hyvin kasarimeininkiä.

Man of the 80's jää mieleen hyvine lyriikoineen, mutta varsinkin säkeistön laulumelodiat on ihan umpitylsät.

Sadly whilst Xerath can't announce a reunion, we can share the next best thing featuring an imminent album release written by former Xerath members Rich and Mike. The album due for release over the coming two weeks is named "Grasp of the Undying" the follow up album for the Riot Games character based band "Pentakill".

The album features not only Mike and Rich on writing, drum and guitar duties but also bringing in household names like Jorn Lande (Jorn), Noora Louhimo (Battlebeast), Tommy Lee (Motley Crue), Danny Lohner (Nine Inch Nails) and the Macedonian Symphonic Orchestra among many, many other performers.

Please check out the first couple of songs "Bloodthirster" and "Tear of the Goddess" released yesterday and keep your eyes open for more releases over the coming weeks. We really, really hope you enjoy!!

Nimibiisi, Fire To The Sun (levyn paras!), Devil You Can Drive & Man Of The '80s on neljä erikseenmainittavaa tältä.

Jaajuu, copypastesin tuon vaan suoraan Xerathin facebook-sivuilta. Bändihän on siis kolme levyä ulos puskenut deathia, progea ja mitä muuta sekoitteleva poppoo joka hajosi tuossa jokunen aika takaperin (allekirjoittaneen harmiksi). Tuosta maistit:

Ultimate JORN Box Set, '50 Years On Earth - The Anniversary Box Set', Due In December

October 22, 2018

http://www.blabbermouth.net/news/ultima ... -december/

Frontiers Music Srl will celebrate Norwegian singer Jorn Lande's 50th birthday with the release of the ultimate JORN box set, "50 Years On Earth - The Anniversary Box Set", on December 14.

Lande was born on May 31, 1968 in the heart of Norway, between massive mountains in a little town called Rjukan. The little blond Viking grew up roaming the forests and mountains and rocking out to Elvis Presley and bands like SWEET, SLADE, JETHRO TULL, DEEP PURPLE, RAINBOW, FREE and BLACK SABBATH. Eventually, he would become one of the world's most renowned voices in rock and metal.

Fifty years later, a celebratory box set — a limited-edition release — celebrating the artistic production of the fine Norwegian singer is prepared with the intent of closing a major chapter of Jorn's artistic career and opening up the "second phase" of his musical journey.

A definitive overview, "50 Years On Earth" is comprised of 12 CDs, including all JORN albums from "Worldchanger" (2001) to "Life On Death Road" (2017). The CD artwork has been recreated in a stunningly visual vinyl replica format.

In addition to the studio albums, an exclusive collection of JORN's best live tracks taken from his albums "Live In The USA" and "Live In Black" and of his best cover songs are included. Finally, there is a disc which includes 16 rare and bonus tracks, which are going to whet the appetites of the JORN completists.

This attractive package also includes a beautiful booklet with handwritten notes from Jorn Lande.

In Lande's words: "I'm proud to have made it this far and to still be around and relevant. This is first of all a thanks to all the music lovers around the world who keep believing. Thanks for all your support! I am blessed to have been given the opportunity to work with so many great and talented people. This rollercoaster of a rock and roll journey still has it's wheels on the tracks and I'm truly excited about the future and what's to come... bring it on!"

Jörni julkaisee toisen osan Heavy Rock Radiolle, vaikka onhan se ainakin kolmas tai neljäs coverlevynsä sooloartistina. Lupa odottaa taas mielenkiintoisia valintoja, kun en läheskään kaikkia tunnista!
I am proud to announce that HEAVY ROCK RADIO II "Executing The Classics" is to be released January 24, 2020 on CD/LP/Digital on Frontiers Records.

The first Heavy Rock Radio released in 2016 was meant to be a one-off, but I never dreamt it would become such a popular concept! I was humbled and truly surprised that these "Jornified" versions of other artists' songs, would end up on sale charts around the world, including Billboard. 😎

I'm blessed to be working with some fantastic musicians and I'm very proud of the result! Francesco Jovino, who also played on the latest original JORN album "Life On Death Road" (2017), plus the first Heavy Rock Radio album (2016), has laid down some monster drumming with incredible groove and power.🤘

My other band mates Sid Ringsby Official, Tore Moren artistpage, and Alessandro Del Vecchio has provided some spectacular playing, and given this product their personal mark. Additionally we have great special appearances by Jgor Gianola, LUCA PRINCIOTTA, Trond Holter and Andrea Girtuga Seveso. THANK YOU FOR YOUR EFFORTS MY FRIENDS, YOU BROUGHT THE ROCK!!
